FAQ
-
Will there be an internal exam?
While our therapists are skilled in evaluating and treating the pelvic floor muscles internally, no one is ever required to have an internal exam in our office. We are a trauma-informed clinic and we will provide you with multiple options for your evaluation, so that you can choose what you are most comfortable with.
-
What if I'm on my period?
We see individuals all throughout their cycle, including during menstruation. If you’re strongly opposed to internal work during your period, we can sill work together and modify our treatment approach for that day to fit your comfort level.
-
Do I need a doctor's referral?
No. Florida is a direct access state which means you can come directly to pelvic floor therapy without seeing a physician first. After 30 days, we will inform your physician/midwife/NP of your plan of care.
-
How often will I need to come?
We usually recommend starting off on a weekly or every-other-week frequency, for the first few visits. We then work with you to space out visits, as we move through your treatment plan. Of course, everyone's situation is unique and we make our recommendations based on your individual case.
-
What if I'm not in Florida?
We have options for remote consultations and virtual wellness visits, to help those who are not local to Florida. Just give our office a call and you can ask to speak with a therapist about what options may work for you.

What is the investment?
Restore Pelvic Health & Rehab has no relationship with insurance companies and services are covered with out-of-network benefits. This is to ensure the highest quality of care with unrestricted access to treatment. Payment is due at the time of service and we accept FSA and HSA accounts. If you choose to submit a superbill to your insurance company for reimbursement, we can provide this document for most insurances. We cannot guarantee reimbursement, as this is determined by your insurance plan.
-
How long is each appointment?
You can plan to be in the office for one hour. You will be with your therapist for 55 minutes, while another 5 minutes is allotted for scheduling/check-out.
